Before moving day, make sure all large appliances—like washers, dryers, and refrigerators—are disconnected and ready to be moved. Need help with that? We’re happy to recommend a trusted handyman in your area.
Keep essential items with you during your move, especially for long-distance relocations. This includes:
• Identification (driver’s license, passport) • A form of payment • House keys or car keys • Medications • Chargers and personal devices
Also, plan ahead for childcare and pet care to reduce stress and distractions on moving day.
Have our professional packers pack for you! If you’re packing yourself, stay organized by working room by room and using quality packing materials. But for speed, safety, and less stress, professional packing is your best bet.
Decide what you will pack in the moving box. Packing similar items in each box will make labeling easier.
Label each box on the top and sides, indicating what contents are in the box (e.g., utensils, books, or sheets).
Label each box with what room it belongs in, so the movers know where to place it in your new home (e.g., if the box contains your sheets, mark it a primary bedroom). This will simplify unpacking since you won’t have to move items from one room to another after unloading.
